Rasa Yoga Cikitsa Certification
Yoga Therapy Training
The Rasa Yoga Cikitsa Certification
Rasa Yoga School of Ayurveda Yoga offers the highest quality training and experience for individuals seeking to apply Yoga and Ayurveda in the manner in which it was originally intended, as therapy. We believe that integrated training and practice is essential for a yoga therapist. Rasa Yoga trainings feature the Rasa Yoga Learning Method which closely aligns with Elaborative Rehearsal Learning, a method that has been proven to allow for a 90% retention of material learned.
Acceptance into the Rasa Yoga Cikitsa Certification requires the prior completion of a 200-hour teacher training course. Students may obtain this level of training through several paths:
- Rasa Yoga Virarupa I Certification
- Rasa Yoga TT200 certification plus the Bridge Program
- 200-hour Teacher Training course from another yoga school plus the Bridge Program
In addition to a 200-hour teacher training certification, students applying to the Rasa Yoga Cikitsa Program must also have a minimum of:
- One (1) year of personal practice
- One (1) year of teaching experience
IAYT Accredited Yoga Therapy Program
Although all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, yoga therapy is the specific application of yogic tools—postures/exercises, breath work, meditation techniques, and more—to address an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional needs.
Yoga therapists have in-depth training to help them assess and keep their clients safe. They work with you to address your specific goals while considering any limitations you might be experiencing. The yogic model of health is unique because it addresses every aspect of life rather than considering each body part or system separately. Yoga therapy is a safe way of working with the natural capacity of your body and mind to optimize well-being.
Our Rasa Yoga Cikitsa Program will fully prepare you to work one-on-one or in small group sessions.
